A Family Legacy · Since the King Bench
Instruction in the
Lost Art of Machine Scraping
We don’t run a rebuild shop — we teach the craft that keeps the world’s machine tools true. Hand and BIAX power scraping, leveling, and reconditioning, taught bench to bench the way the King family has for over fifty years.
What we do
One craft. Three ways we put it to work.
Learn the Lost Art
Hands-on classes from 3-day Fundamentals to 2-week 40/40 Mastery. Scrape 20 PPI in a week, 40 in two — or we train your crew in-plant.

The King Legacy
From one family bench to the world’s factory floors
Herman “Red” King invented the KING-WAY alignment instrument and the cast-iron straightedges that set the standard for measuring machine geometry. His son, Richard King, became the first commercial machine-scraping instructor in the United States.
Fifty years on, the King method is still taught the only way it can be — bench to bench, by hand, to anyone serious about the craft.
Read the Legacy →King-Way adapted the entire class to exactly what our shop needed. I recommend them for both Basic 40/40 hand scraping and advanced machine scraping — without hesitation.
